POL-X West has a great deal of experience with the rapid acquisition and reduction of field data. Extensive use of the Keithley Data Acquisition System and TestPoint software package enables us to easily record test sensor output, whether it is from strain gauge equipment, accelerometers, or any other analog or digital sending device, recording the data directly to a notebook PC.

The data gathered in the field can be used for verification of parameters used in product design, analysis of poor performance (excess vibration or failures), optimization of future designs, and fatigue analysis.

In short, engineers should have the best information available when making design and analysis decisions and in many cases, that data must come from field measurements.
